      In the fourth quarter of 2025, an upgraded double-decker "Burevestnik" train will begin running between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. This was announced by the Head of the GZhD, Sergey Dorofeevsky.

      "We are bringing back the 'Burevestnik' that used to run between Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow, only this one will be double-decker," he clarified.

      The new train will feature a higher level of comfort and improved high-speed capabilities. The composition will be of mixed type, with both seated and compartment cars, including luxury compartments. There will also be a restaurant car.

      According to Dorofeevsky, the interior of the "Burevestnik" is planned to be showcased in the first quarter of 2025.

      It is expected that the train will consist of 12-16 cars and will run during the day. Travel time will be approximately four hours.

      It was previously noted that the high-speed "Lastochka" trains from Nizhny Novgorod will not yet return to the Moscow Kursky Station.
