
Two Muscovites convicted for "art" on the Nizhny Novgorod commuter train

Incident: The Prioksky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod has issued a verdict in the case of hooliganism at the Myza railway station. The defendants are two young residents of the Moscow region, who were found guilty under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Hooliganism). This was reported by the Volga-Vyatka Transport Prosecutor's Office.
According to case materials, in December 2024, the accused entered the Myza station and used aerosol paint to create images on two passenger train carriages.
When transportation security personnel attempted to detain them, the young men used tear gas and escaped. Later, their identities were established, and they were detained by transport police.
The damage caused to the Volga-Vyatka suburban passenger company amounted to over 100,000 rubles. The defendants voluntarily compensated this amount.
The court found them guilty and sentenced each to 1 year and 10 months of probation.
