
Raid on homeless people in the Nizhny Novgorod region led to the arrest of four criminals

Incidents In the Nizhny Novgorod region, a large-scale three-day operation has concluded, during which police officers checked citizens without a fixed place of residence. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
During the event, 203 locations were inspected. Checks took place in basements of residential buildings, abandoned structures, and on solid waste landfill sites.
The operation involved 237 police officers from various units.
As a result, 83 people leading a vagrant lifestyle were identified. Of these, 58 citizens were brought to police stations for identification. All of them underwent fingerprinting procedures.
During the inspections, it was revealed that four of those detained were wanted for committing crimes, and two others were listed as missing persons.
It was previously reported that in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a gang was detained for kidnapping a man for extortion of 2.3 million rubles.
