Heavy rains will cover the region on Monday and Tuesday.

      According to meteorologists, heavy rains are expected in the Nizhny Novgorod region on August 4 and 5. The State Emergency Service of Russia's regional headquarters issued a warning. The likelihood of emergencies increases due to localized flooding resulting from malfunctions or debris clogging of stormwater drainage and collector systems, flooding of low-lying areas, roads, low bridges, power line supports, communication lines, agricultural land, an increase in traffic accidents, transportation disruptions, failures in the housing and utilities system, landslides, and slope washouts. Rescuers recommend reducing speed when driving personal vehicles, as visibility worsens, shoulders and dirt roads soften and wash away, and road slipperiness increases, leading to skidding and slipping.
