The application process for the "Best Procurement Specialist" competition has begun in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The competition has been held annually since 2020 among specialists from regional and municipal authorities, institutions, and organizations whose professional activities are related to the procurement of goods, works, and services within the framework of the procurement contract system. "For six years, the Nizhny Novgorod Region has maintained the status of a subject of the Russian Federation with high transparency in procurement. This level is sustained thanks to procurement professionals: attentive, thoughtful, and responsible in their work, especially in social sectors. The ten participants with the highest results will be included in the regional register of the best procurement specialists," said Sergey Bazhanov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The competition consists of two stages – qualifying and final. The qualifying stage started on August 4 and is conducted on the "Government Team" portal, ending on September 14. Participants who complete questionnaires and submit the required documents will be invited to take an electronic test on procurement legislation within the contract system. The final stage of the competition will be held in person, involving practical tasks and a quick questionnaire. The winner and prize-winners will be awarded by the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. All participants will receive personalized certificates. The organizers of the competition are the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Human Resources Policy of the regional government.
