The LDPR faction proposed creating a regulatory act that specifies requirements for the quality and safety of children's recreation. The document also includes support measures for parents and tax, rental, and tariff benefits for children's camps.
Duma deputy and head of the Committee for Family and Childhood Protection Nina Ostanina stated in an interview with the "360" TV channel that the lower house of parliament instructed the development of such a law a year ago, but the government has not fulfilled this.
She reminded that Leonid Slutsky emphasized the need for a federal law on organizing children's recreation. This law should establish standards for recreation, enshrine every child's right to health improvement activities, and define the powers of government authorities.
Ostanina noted that for the first time in the history of the State Duma, a government-controlled hour took place, during which the results of implementing this instruction were discussed. According to her, the government is obliged to submit a draft federal law, although the LDPR faction is not involved in its development. Instead, the Duma committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, continues to oversee issues related to children's recreation and health improvement.
