The Society Non-Profit Organization "Demographic Development Institute" has expanded the functionality of the official portal: osnovano.ru, adding a new feature for prospective parents, young families, and large families in the Nizhny Novgorod region. They now have access to the "Life Situations" button (https://calc.osnovano.ru/#life-situations), which complements the service "Support Measure Calculator for Families with Children and Expectant Parents" and includes in-demand scenarios with step-by-step action plans for solving difficult tasks.

This new option simplifies navigation through the most common questions faced by families, eliminates informational barriers in document processing and social support receipt. It contains recommendations on which agency or service to contact, which documents to gather, and what to prepare in advance.

Already now, mothers and fathers can easily find out how to enroll their child in kindergarten or school, obtain a foreign passport for them, register for pregnancy while studying, and arrange for an academic leave. Instructions for preparing for maternity leave and returning to work after it are also provided. The number of such situations and available solutions will be continuously increased.

In the "Pregnancy During University Studies" life situation, pregnant students will find detailed guidance on registering with a women's consultation, organizing the study process, and obtaining academic leave. This information will be useful for several categories of expectant mothers: unmarried and married full-time students, part-time working students, final-year university students, and students studying on a commercial basis.

The scenario "Preparation for Maternity Leave" includes psychological recommendations for a calm and confident anticipation of meeting the baby, reminders for key medical milestones, and advice on financial planning and resolving work-related issues.

The "Returning from Maternity Leave" situation helps users learn how to resume work and modify work conditions during or after maternity leave: returning part-time, remote or flexible work schedules, and other cases related to parental leave.

Parents will find advice on choosing suitable preschool institutions in the "Enrollment in Kindergarten" life situation. This section also provides information on the registration process, document procedures, and tips for successful adaptation of the child to new upbringing conditions and peer interaction.

All school preparation steps are available in the "Enrollment in First Grade" scenario: from selecting an educational institution to recommendations for psychological readiness of the child to the new routine.

The "Child's International Passport" situation explains the nuances of preparing the document depending on the child's age and parents' marital status, as well as features of urgent issuance and replacement of the international passport before the expiration date.

Each scenario is accompanied by information on available support measures for parents and families in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The new feature will gradually expand by adding life situations grouped by thematic areas: support for large families, assistance in resolving housing issues, effective parenting methods and creating harmonious family relationships, as well as conducting important conversations with children on difficult topics — money, personal boundaries, health, risks of behavior.

New sections are developed with the participation of experts and are based on real practical examples to help users easily solve family tasks.

Furthermore, the Demographic Development Institute invites families to participate in developing the new feature and share their stories or suggestions. To do so, simply leave a message in the "VKontakte" community (vk.com/osnova_no), on the Telegram channel (t.me/osnova_no), via the MAX messenger (https://vk.cc/cNWgHp), or send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Life Situations."

"We aim to create services that genuinely simplify life. Dealing with bureaucracy is our job, not families'. The new digital assistant allows you to go through the most common life questions step by step. When a person clicks the button, they immediately understand what to do: how to register for maternity leave, how to enroll a child in kindergarten. When such clarity exists, the decision to have a child ceases to be a source of anxiety," emphasized Evgeny Zhuravlev, director of the Demographic Development Institute.

The development of digital solutions is carried out in accordance with the goals of the "Family" national project within the framework of the Five-Year Family Program of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
