Economics: Fifty-five industrial enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region received preferential loans in 2024 through federal and regional Industrial Development Funds. Governor Gleb Nikitin announced this while reporting to the Regional Legislative Assembly.

According to him, the total allocated financing amounted to 6.3 billion rubles—twice as much as the previous year. This figure became the record in the country, positioning the region first among all RF subjects in terms of industrial project support.

Gleb Nikitin emphasized that a significant portion of the loans was directed towards the implementation of projects related to the development of advanced technologies and the production of high-tech and import-substituting products. He noted that such areas are currently key for sustainable economic development.

The Regional Industrial Development Fund was additionally financed with 500 million rubles in 2024. Its total capital reached 1.8 billion rubles, expanding the support possibilities for enterprises.

Furthermore, over 600 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget last year for subsidies to industrial companies. The funds were used for leasing equipment rebates, interest rate subsidies on loans, and promoting products in the digital environment.

As a result of these measures, the Nizhny Novgorod region ranked second in the industrial policy effectiveness rating for 2024, compiled by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

The governor noted that such results confirm the correctness of the chosen course and the high return on investments in developing the real economy sector.

It was previously reported that enterprises in Nizhny Novgorod could obtain loans of up to 5 million rubles for purchasing industrial equipment.
