143 residents of Nizhny Novgorod became participants in the "SVOё delo" project.
On July 31, 2025 at 16:49, 143 residents of Nizhny Novgorod will undergo training as part of the "SVOye Do" project for participants in the SVO (special military operation) and their family members. The project is implemented by the regional Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship and the "My Business" regional center with the support of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund branch, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Employment Center, the Social Sphere Innovation Center, and the Corporate University of the Nizhny Novgorod government, in accordance with the goals and objectives of the federal project "Small and Medium Enterprises" within the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
"The 'SVOye Do' project aims to support those who have defended and continue to defend our country. Participants include active soldiers of the Russian army, veterans of the SVO, and their family members from 41 municipalities of the region. We have tried to make participation in the project as comfortable as possible for everyone. Training will take place at branches of the 'My Business' regional center in the Kstovsky, Pavlovsky, Vadski, Urensky, Gorodetsky, Lukoyanovsky municipal districts, and in the urban districts of Navashinsky, Semyonovsky, Borsky, and Sarov," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Nizhny Novgorod.
Participants plan to develop businesses related to education, equipment repair, furniture manufacturing, coniferous plant cultivation, organizing physical development activities for children, freight services, carpentry, souvenir production, clothing sewing, and car maintenance.
Participants of the "SVOye Do" project have already begun training under the "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship" program at the regional "My Business" center and are receiving professional consultations from specialists at the Employment Center. Starting mid-August, in-person seminars will begin covering key aspects of business management: legal issues, digital marketing, financial literacy, personnel management, and available government support measures.
"In September, we will organize excursions to production sites of major regional enterprises. The training will culminate in business games, during which participants will learn how to prepare business plans for their ventures," added Maxim Cherkasov.
Following the educational block, project presentations will be held.
For the winners of the business games, "My Business" centers will develop personalized development plans considering current government support measures. Authors of the top 10 projects will have the opportunity to receive free services related to website development, online store creation, product promotion, certification, branding, and business plan development, among others. They can choose the service themselves.
During the implementation of the project, social support is provided to participants by social coordinators from the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund.
Nikolai Matveychuk, a project participant from Semyonov, plans to open a food truck called "Prozharka" in his hometown. The menu will feature a wide range of popular street foods: burgers, hot dogs, fries, milkshakes.
"Before the start of the special military operation, I worked for many years in large companies, building my career. But when the SVO began, I couldn’t stay on the sidelines and volunteered to go to the front. After being wounded, I was demobilized and spent a year recovering. During that time, I tried to develop a business manufacturing chocolate pastes and achieved some success. When I realized my health was restored, I felt I was needed more at the front, and I signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense. I was wounded again, later demobilized. Now, the road to the SVO zone is closed for me. I plan to build a useful business here – I want to feed my fellow countrymen tasty food," said Nikolai Matveychuk.
He added that the project is in the final stages of launch: the food truck is ready, equipment purchased, and only the trade permit remains, after which he can start.
"I hope the 'SVOye Do' program will help me develop a business strategy using all available government support tools," said the participant.
It is worth noting that information on all business support measures at the federal and regional levels is available at the "My Business" center (moybussiness52.rf), which operates within the framework of the "Small and Medium Enterprises" federal project of the "Efficient and Competitive Economy" national project. The center also runs a hotline, where all necessary information can be obtained. Hotline phone: 8 (800) 301-29-94 (free call).
The "Efficient and Competitive Economy" national project, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, will serve as a key instrument for shaping a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized businesses, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and enhancing the state system of statistics and forecasting.
