Head coach of "Pary Nizhny Novgorod" Aleksey Shpilevskiy does not pay much attention to skeptical forecasts regarding the team. In a comment for "Match TV," he stated that he is focused on his own work and his standards for himself and the coaching staff, rather than external opinions.
After two rounds of the Russian Premier League, the Nizhny Novgorod club remains without points and without goals scored. In the first match, the team lost to "Krasnodar" with a score of 0:3, and in the second — was defeated by "Krylia Sovetov" 0:2.
When asked whether there is reason to worry about the lack of goals and defeats, Shpilevskiy noted that he sees no reason for panic. He believes that the team is in a process of formation, and such changes take time.
"We need to work; there is nothing else to do. There is no alternative but to move forward. Goals will come; everything will be fine," he added.
Regarding the low expectations for "Pary NN" this season, the coach emphasized that he primarily relies on his own standards.
"I am a maximalist; I demand a lot from myself. I think many know where I have worked in recent years and what we achieved there. I also expect a lot from the guys; I can't fault anyone for lack of desire. Everyone wants to change, to become better, but right now, luck is not on our side," the coach stated.
Shpilevskiy also noted that the five goals conceded were the result of individual mistakes, but he does not see this as a sign of systemic crisis.
Recall that Aleksey Shpilevskiy took over "Pary NN" in June, replacing Viktor Goncharenko. He previously worked successfully at Kazakhstani "Kairat," where he won the championship and silver medals, and later at Cypriot "Aris," where he became national champion, won the Super Cup, and led the team to the UEFA Europa League group stage.
It was also reported that "Pary NN" signed contracts with two players from Nigeria and Panama national teams.
