Economy Pavlovsky Bus Plant has temporarily halted production processes. According to the Telegram channel Mash, the enterprise will not operate at least until August 4.

During this time, repair and restoration work is scheduled to be carried out on the plant premises. All 2,600 employees have been sent on corporate leave.

It was previously reported that against the backdrop of decreasing demand and falling sales, major Russian automakers, including KAMAZ, AvtoVAZ, and GAZ, have decided to switch to a reduced workweek temporarily.

The press service of PAZ emphasized that the shutdown is related to a planned vacation. However, earlier, employees of the Gorky Automobile Plant pointed to a decline in product sales, which may be a general industry trend.

In April 2025, Pavlovsky Plant sold 392 buses, and in the first three months of the year, 1,016 units, averaging about 330–350 vehicles per month. By comparison, in July 2024, over 1,500 buses came off the assembly line, and in the 1980s, the enterprise produced up to 16,500 units annually.

It was also reported that assembly of transfer cases has been established at the new plant in Zazolye, Nizhny Novgorod region.
