More than 24,500 patients have been treated by medical professionals in "Health Trains" since the beginning of the year.
Since the beginning of 2025, mobile medical teams operating on the basis of the "Health Train" mobile diagnostic complexes have served over 24,500 patients. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Health. Over 41,800 medical consultations and more than 84,500 various laboratory tests were conducted for preventive and diagnostic purposes. Nearly 9,500 fluorographies, over 9,000 electrocardiograms, more than 3,300 ultrasound examinations, and over 50,500 general clinical laboratory tests were included in the standard examination program. Mammographies were performed for almost 7,000 women. As noted by the regional Ministry of Health, the "Health Trains" significantly enhance access to high-quality specialized medical care, which is especially important for elderly and ambulatory citizens. In turn, the mobile medical teams, comprising experienced specialists equipped with modern equipment, promptly diagnose, prescribe, and adjust treatment, thereby increasing the longevity and quality of life for residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Specifically, since the start of the year, doctors on the "Health Trains" have identified and diagnosed over 4,900 diseases, including around 60 oncological conditions. More than 17,000 people have been sent for further examination, and 790 individuals have been hospitalized.
It is much easier to prevent illness and avoid its development if regular preventive medical check-ups are carried out, and timely medical help is sought when symptoms of illness appear. Notably, early detection of diseases, when symptoms may not yet be evident, is especially crucial. The focus should be on oncological vigilance and attentive care for heart and vascular health, the ministry emphasized.
Let us remind you that the "Health Train" project has been implemented since 2018 at the initiative of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin. The operation of the mobile diagnostic complexes fulfills the goals and objectives outlined in the new national project "Prolonged and Active Life."
The schedule of the "Health Trains" is updated monthly. You can find the latest information on the regional Ministry of Health's website at: https://zdrav-nnov.ru/informatsiya/poezda-zdorovya/.
The national project "Prolonged and Active Life" launched countrywide in 2025 by the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin aims to increase life expectancy to nearly 80 years by 2030. It involves updating clinics, outpatient centers, feldsher-midwife stations, attracting more qualified medical personnel to healthcare facilities, applying new approaches in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic diseases, improving emergency medical care and rehabilitation systems, developing a network of national research centers, and digitalizing the industry. The program includes 11 federal projects: "Health for Everyone," "Modernization of Primary Healthcare," "Medical Personnel," "Fight Against Cardiovascular Diseases," "Fight Against Oncology," "Fight Against Diabetes," "Fight Against Hepatitis and Minimization of Disease Transmission Risks," "Improvement of Emergency Medical Services," "Development of Federal Medical Organizations, Including National Research Centers," "National Platform 'Health'," and "Optimal Medical Rehabilitation for Health Restoration."
