      PoliticsUnder the jurisdiction of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the work of the "Party Landing" continues. During an inspection visit, a working group led by State Duma Deputy Yuri Stankevich visited the Sechenov municipal district.

      "During such trips, we assess not only current efforts to address pressing issues in municipalities but also look at the overall development of each district. We evaluate how well the changes align with the goals set at the federal level. The Sechenov district is one of the leaders in the Nizhny Novgorod region. However, there are still challenges here. Today, we discussed with local leadership the formation of the budget and work plans for 2026. Additionally, a number of issues prompted by local residents have been placed under party control. As a Duma deputy engaging in dialogue with regional authorities, I will work to resolve these tasks," said Yuri Stankevich, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy, and federal coordinator of the "Green Economy" project of the "United Russia" party.

      The visit program included: the I.M. Sechenov Local History Museum, the Sechenov Central Library, the memorial complex in honor of the Heroes of the SVO, and the "Progress" agricultural enterprise.

      "All the sites we showcased today to guests from Nizhny Novgorod were either recently created, renovated, or modernized. I want to note that our work is monitored also by the public. Local residents are actively involved in internal processes. If they notice any shortcomings, they immediately inform us. And as local authorities, we respond promptly and make corrections. The overall result is clear: our homeland is becoming more beautiful and comfortable with each year," said Evgeny Nabornov, head of the local administration of the Sechenov municipal district and secretary of the local branch of the "United Russia" party.

      The I.M. Sechenov Local History Museum was the first destination on the "Party Landing" route. It is an important cultural landmark in the region and the main attraction of the district. The museum is located on the ancestral estate of the great physiologist Ivan Mikhailovich Sechenov. The exhibition started with just one room. Now, its exhibition space totals 115 square meters.

      "In 2020, residents of our district voted in the 'Decide for Yourself!' project for the improvement of Sechenov Park and the construction of a museum and exhibition complex. Our museum is very popular. Last year, more than 4,000 people visited the exposition. Today, we told visitors about local history. Overall, the inspection gave a positive assessment of our work, which is very encouraging," shared Svetlana Arkhipova, director of the MBUK "I.M. Sechenov Local History Museum."

      The next stop was the new model library. The modern building was constructed in Sechenovo in 2023 under the state program "Integrated Rural Development." The library is equipped with the latest technology and accessible for visitors with limited health capabilities. It serves as a methodological center for 17 rural branch libraries.

      "Our library holds over 30,000 items in its collection. We conduct more than 200 mass events annually. The new building is very comfortable and convenient for work. Our readers can use modern computers and office equipment. The multimedia board, interactive information kiosks, video cameras, and VR systems significantly expand opportunities for hosting various events in the library. We proudly showcased all this to the 'Party Landing' working group." No remarks or complaints were made about us," said Elena Taranova, director of the Sechenov Central Library.

      The visit to the memorial complex dedicated to the Heroes of the SVO continued the delegation’s program. The monument to soldiers was installed in the park. Improvements to the public space were carried out this year, including replacing paving tiles and installing curbstones. Lighting along pedestrian pathways was organized. The entrance was repaired with asphalt concrete. Benches, trash bins, fencing, and landscaping were installed. The complex was officially opened on July 12, 2025.

      The final site inspected in the Sechenov district was the "Progress" agricultural enterprise. The organization specializes in producing grain and oilseed crops. Its products are sold independently. "Progress" is a leading company in its industry and the largest in the district. The farm invests significant funds annually in updating its production facilities and is currently completing construction of a new processing complex.

      The "Party Landing" is an effective tool for promptly responding to residents' requests. One of the main tasks of the project is to monitor the implementation of the people's program of the "United Russia" party.
