In one of the universities in Nizhny Novgorod, applicants attempted to use artificial intelligence to pass entrance exams.

According to Alexey Nikonov, editor-in-chief of the information agency "Stacionar-Press," the situation was reported by the admissions committee of Lobachevsky NNU.

The issue involved writing entrance essays. Some applicants decided to use neural networks to generate texts.

However, teachers reviewing the assignments quickly noticed inconsistencies. According to them, the texts were repetitive and lacked individual style, suggesting AI involvement.

The phrasing was too formulaic, and the structure was suspiciously precise.

It was previously reported that nearly 3,000 budget places for IT specialties were allocated in Nizhny Novgorod universities for the 2025-2026 academic year.
