In Nizhny Novgorod, the architectural lighting of the football stadium on the Strelka has been redesigned.

      The architecture lighting system at the Nizhny Novgorod football stadium on the Strelka, now called "Sovcombank Arena," has been upgraded. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Sports. Now, thanks to the new lighting, it is possible to quickly create and program a variety of dynamic scenarios tailored to different events, significant dates, and holidays. On regular days, the arena will glow in the colors of the "Capital of Sunsets" and other programmed scenarios. Additionally, cleaning of the stadium's windproof membrane has enhanced the reflection of the updated lighting, creating an impressive visual effect.

      "Since 2018, the city's main sports arena has hosted high-level events with guests from around the world. The upgraded architectural lighting will allow us to illuminate the sports facility in the colors of the Russian flag and the St. George ribbon, as well as launch other scenarios. This will enable us to emphasize a patriotic atmosphere during sports and cultural events, pay tribute to historic dates and events," said Dmitry Kabaylo, Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The renovation of the architecture lighting at "Sovcombank Arena" was carried out as part of comprehensive arena repairs. Work has been ongoing since May 30, 2025: 94% of the facade painting is complete, and 50% of the roof renovation is done. Completion of the repairs is scheduled for the second half of August 2025.

      The stadium "Nizhny Novgorod" was renamed "Sovcombank Arena" on July 1, 2025, as part of a partnership agreement between the football club "Pari NN" and Sovcombank. Relevant changes have been registered in the All-Russian Registry of Sports Facilities. Starting from the 2025-2026 season, Sovcombank will be the official bank of the Nizhny Novgorod club. The collaboration is initially planned for three years.
