      Incidents

      A serious accident occurred at the village of Bolshie Bakaldy. A 26-year-old tractor operator, an employee of the Society of Faith "Miheev & Company," was injured, according to the State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On the morning of July 23, the man was on the premises of the machinery yard, inflating the wheel of a "Kama 310" tire lifted from a manure spreader trailer using a compressor. The wheel's construction included a tire, a disk, and retaining rings secured with a metal rod.

      When the pressure reached 4 atmospheres, as indicated by the manometer, the retaining rings unexpectedly flew off and forcefully struck the tractor operator in the head. He was thrown approximately a meter away from the wheel by the blow.

      The man sustained injuries to his head, neck, and lower jaw but remained conscious. First aid was provided immediately, and an ambulance was called. He was later taken to the hospital.

      According to Ilya Moshes, head of the State Labour Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the injured person was diagnosed with multiple bruises, open fractures, and a concussion. The injuries are considered severe. An investigation into the incident is underway.

      Previously, it was reported that an operator at a Nizhny Novgorod facility had their hand amputated due to a workplace accident.
