The gasification of Nizhny Novgorod households was discussed in the regional parliament.

      A meeting of the Committee on Housing and Communal Services and Fuel and Energy Complex was held in the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The central topic of discussion was the progress of the gasification program in the region. Regional parliament speaker Evgeny Lyulin noted that members of the relevant committee regularly monitor this process.

      The government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region presented a report on the current expenses of residents for gas connection under the gasification program. It was established that the average cost of installing an internal gas pipeline for individual housing or a block of houses is about 18 thousand rubles, and the installation of gas equipment – 14 thousand rubles. The total expenditure of a household on gasification this year is estimated at approximately 125 thousand rubles.

      "Special attention is paid to social support measures for citizens. The regional budget allocates 79 million rubles for these purposes this year. For certain categories of citizens, including families of military personnel involved in special military operations, the support amount reaches 90 thousand rubles, which allows for full or significant reimbursement of gas connection costs. In 2025, plans are to provide gasification for 25 families of SVO participants whose homes require the installation of gas supply systems. This issue is under particular control," said Vladimir Bespalov, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Housing, Communal Services, and Fuel and Energy Complex.

      Following the meeting, parliament members decided to conduct a detailed analysis of all expenses related to the gasification program at the end of the year – both budgetary funds for social support and actual costs incurred by residents. In their opinion, this will allow for adjustments to support mechanisms if necessary.
