Bogdan Konyushkov remains at Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" for another two years.

      SportOne of Torpedo's key defenders, Bogdan Konyushkov, will continue playing for the Nizhny Novgorod club. The parties agreed to extend the contract until May 30, 2027. The agreement is unilateral.

      The 22-year-old hockey player from Penza joined Torpedo in 2022 and has since become one of the team’s leaders. Debuting in the 2022/2023 season, he played 215 matches, scoring 77 points (12+65) under the "goal+assist" system with Nizhny Novgorod.

      In the 2024/2025 season, Konyushkov participated in 67 games, recording 17 points (3+14). At such a young age, the defenseman has already worn the captain’s armband and been called up to the Russian national team.

      In addition to his performances for Torpedo, Bogdan made significant contributions to other teams in the system. In 2023, he helped Chayka win the Kharlamov Cup, and this spring he confidently played for Torpedo-Gorky, often rescuing the team on their way to the Russian Champion Cup.

      "I am very glad to stay in this city. You could say that Nizhny Novgorod has already become a second home, so I am staying here with special feelings," commented Konyushkov on extending his contract.

      It was previously reported that, as part of a trade with CSKA, forward Nikita Rozhkov joined Torpedo.
