The output of the Nizhny Novgorod manufacturer of automotive seats will increase by 10% thanks to the federal project "Labor Productivity."

      Economy Experts from the Regional Competency Center (RCC), together with employees of EuroSid LLC, summarized the intermediate results of the implementation of the Federal Project "Labor Productivity" tools at the enterprise as part of the "Efficient and Competitive Economy" national project.

      Specialists from the Regional Competency Center have been working at participant enterprises of the federal project for six months. After three months, an informational day is held, during which RCC experts summarize the work done and present plans for the second phase of the project.

      The enterprise specializes in manufacturing seats for public transport, special vehicles, and boats. A pilot project was chosen to focus on the production process of comfort-class seats for tourist buses. The revenue share from selling such seats accounts for 23 percent of the total revenue from all products sold, so improvements here will help increase the overall enterprise's efficiency.

      "Together with the working group, RCC specialists analyzed the processes at the enterprise and identified several bottlenecks, including the lack of a production plan, excess inventories, and time lost on reworking products. Solutions were proposed for each of these issues, and an action plan was developed. Implementing the RCC experts' suggestions will increase productivity by 10 percent," said Maksim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      RCC experts trained 22 employees of the enterprise in lean technologies and are also preparing three internal trainers who will later be able to independently teach their colleagues.

      Currently, 29 automotive component manufacturers in the Nizhny Novgorod region are successfully implementing tools from the federal "Labor Productivity" project.

As of today, 290 companies in Nizhny Novgorod are working on implementing lean technologies with government support.

      The "Efficient and Competitive Economy" national project, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, serves as the main tool for shaping a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized businesses, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and developing the state statistics and forecasting system.
