The output of the Nizhny Novgorod electric transport manufacturer increased by 10% thanks to the federal project "Labor Productivity."

      Experts from the Regional Competence Center (RCC), together with employees of LLC "SP "NizhEkotrans" from Vorsma, summarized the results of implementing the tools of the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" at the enterprise. The company specializes in the production of ground urban electric transport, serially manufacturing trams and electric buses under the trademark "MiNiN." The optimization of tram production was chosen as the pilot process. "RCC specialists worked on the site of LLC "SP "NizhEkotrans" for six months. During this time, experts helped the company reduce the manufacturing time of electric transport from 621 to 510 hours. Additionally, output increased by 10 percent. RCC staff, together with the company's team, optimized the tool and raw material storage system, implemented standardized work procedures and operation rebalancing, and minimized downtime," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. RCC experts trained 30 employees in lean technologies and prepared two internal trainers who will be able to train colleagues independently in the future. Currently, 17 manufacturers of various types of transport are successfully implementing the tools of the federal "Labor Productivity" project in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and enhancing the state statistics and forecasting system.
