In Nizhny Novgorod, the first stage of the construction of the "Neemark" IT campus has been completed. The facility has passed inspection by the regional State Construction Supervision Inspection and received permission for operation of the student dormitories.

As part of the first stage, 18 residential buildings have been erected on Bolshie Ovrazhki Street. These buildings are designed to comfortably accommodate 1,359 students. By this fall, students enrolled in the university's networked IT programs, as well as students from other universities in the city, will move in.

Gubernator Gleb Nikitin of the Nizhny Novgorod region noted that even before the completion of the entire project, students will have access to quality IT education while living in modern conditions in the city center.

Additionally, it is planned that the complex will host participants of the World Youth Festival, which will be held in Nizhny Novgorod from September 17 to 21, 2025.

The infrastructure of the new student town includes a variety of accommodation options—from single and double rooms to two-room blocks for three or four occupants. Each block is equipped with two bathrooms and a shower. For students’ convenience, the buildings feature co-working spaces, public areas, underground parking for 110 cars, cafes, shops, and other amenities. Available services include cleaning, high-speed Wi-Fi, round-the-clock security, and concierge services.

Special attention during construction was given to digital technologies. A TIM-model—virtual twin of the buildings—was created for the complex. An intelligent management system using artificial intelligence has also been implemented. It will monitor potential threats, manage energy consumption, and respond promptly to emergencies.

Deputy Gubernator Andrey Sanosyan emphasized that the region is steadily developing infrastructure for training future specialists. According to him, the IT campus will become a hub for young talents and will contribute to the formation of a knowledge-based economy in the region.

Students of "Neemark" University will have the opportunity to compensate up to 100% of their tuition and accommodation costs through an annual grant competition. Students from other universities will also be able to apply for accommodation.

Construction of the remaining campus facilities is ongoing. Additional hotel complexes for 4,250 students and faculty are being built on Gagarin Avenue. On Dalnyaya Street, the main academic building with an area exceeding 34,300 square meters is under construction, which will house modern laboratories and public spaces.

The entire IT campus project includes five facilities with a total area of 225,600 square meters. Completion of all construction work is scheduled for 2028.

The development of a network of modern student campuses in Russia is implemented under the instruction of President Vladimir Putin. Funding for the projects is provided by federal and regional budgets, as well as non-budgetary sources.

Earlier, a NIА "Nizhny Novgorod" correspondent visited the IT campus and showed the living conditions of future students.
