A criminal case has been initiated in Pильнинский district of Nizhny Novgorod region regarding a traffic accident resulting in four deaths. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
It is recalled that a UAZ car with five passengers lost control and crashed into the Pyana River, as the driver failed to manage the vehicle. Only one passenger managed to escape from the submerged car; the others died.
The investigative department of the Investigative Committee for the city of Sergach has opened a criminal case under the article regarding a violation of traffic rules that negligently caused the death of two or more persons.
Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
Furthermore, the progress of the criminal investigation is under the control of the leadership of the investigative department and the prosecutor's office of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
It was previously reported that two 14-year-old teenagers were detained in Dzerzhinsk for attacking a man with a signal rocket.
