Construction of the assembly chamber for the shields used in tunnel excavation toward Gorkovskaya station is actively progressing at Freedom Square. According to the Telegram channel "MetroNN," about 70% of the chamber's enclosing structures have been completed to date. These elements play a key role in ensuring the stability of the structure and the safety of subsequent work.
As part of the project implementation, more than 4,800 cubic meters of soil have already been removed. Main works are carried out using the "wall in soil" technology — currently, 81 "captures" have been concreted.
To strengthen the monolithic wall of the assembly chamber, specialists have laid approximately 700 tons of metal frameworks and used about 5,000 cubic meters of concrete.
The project is confidently moving toward the halfway point, two-thirds of the way is already completed.
It was previously reported that an additional 363.5 million rubles will be allocated for the extension of the Avtozavodskaya metro line.
