Fifteen Nizhny Novgorod companies participated in the Nizhny Novgorod Industry Day at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation

      Fifteen Nizhny Novgorod companies* participated in the Industry Day of the Nizhny Novgorod Region at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The regional delegation was led by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship Maxim Cherkasov. Also present were heads of sectoral divisions of the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade, leaders of the Region’s Industrial and Entrepreneurial Development Corporation, the Nizhny Novgorod Industrial Development Fund, and the Scientific and Production Center for Unmanned Aerial Systems. The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Ivan Kulikov.

      "With the second place in the effectiveness ranking of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia for 2024, the Nizhny Novgorod region is among the leading regions. This high achievement reflects the successful joint efforts of the region and the federal center in implementing industrial policy and developing industrial potential. The region excels in providing government support measures to industrial enterprises, including using federal funds from the Russian Venture Company, as well as in the level of industrial infrastructure development," emphasized the deputy minister.

      He added that the industry of the Nizhny Novgorod region has significant potential for growth and further development. According to Maxim Cherkasov, attracting federal support measures for enterprises is one of the key tasks facing the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      "Constant contact with the Federal Ministry of Industry and Trade allows us to coordinate enterprises in implementing federal development tools. This support helps companies invest in production, upgrade technologies, expand product ranges, and open new facilities, thereby ensuring the development of the regional industrial complex. Since the beginning of the year, the region's industry has shown positive dynamics. The volume of shipped goods in January-May 2025 amounted to 941.7 billion rubles, an increase of 6.7% compared to the same period last year. In manufacturing, the volume reached 854.7 billion rubles — a growth of 7.3 percent," noted Maxim Cherkasov.

      As part of the Industry Day of the Nizhny Novgorod region, representatives of the sectoral divisions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and local businesses held a series of working meetings to discuss various current issues. These included participation of Nizhny Novgorod companies in national projects such as "Unmanned Aerial Systems," "New Materials and Chemistry," and "Bioeconomy," measures of support and preferential leasing programs in shipbuilding, as well as support for projects in the field of medical device manufacturing.

      "We have been working closely with the Nizhny Novgorod Region’s Ministry of Industry and Trade for several years, successfully resolving most regional issues. Nevertheless, meetings with federal structures are undoubtedly beneficial as they allow us to present our ideas and projects at the federal level," said Aleksandr Polyakov, General Director of LLC Chromos Engineering.
