In Gorodets, the prosecutor's office approved the indictment against the former head of Chkalovsk on charges of exceeding official authority.

      Gorodetsky City Prosecutor's Office approved the indictment in the criminal case against former head of local self-government of the urban district of Chkalovsk, Alexander Kudryashov. He is charged under paragraph "e" of part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of official power committed out of personal interest). According to the investigation, from February 2023 to December 2023, the defendant signed documents confirming acceptance of completed work for the project "Improvement of public space in Chkalovsk between Belinsky, Matrosova, and Komsomolskaya streets," which was planned as part of the municipal program "Formation of a modern urban environment," despite having credible information that the contractor had not actually completed part of the work, and some of the work was done to a lesser extent. By his actions, the defendant caused damage to the municipal entity exceeding 2.5 million rubles. After the indictment copy is served, the criminal case will be sent to court for trial.
