The head of Dzerzhinsk, Mikhail Klinkov, proposed measures aimed at improving internet access under restrictions related to security. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
According to the mayor of the city of chemists, disruptions in mobile communication and internet have become frequent, negatively affecting the operation of bank terminals, shops, and other systems dependent on network connectivity.
Temporary relief is provided by public Wi-Fi, but its availability and quality leave much to be desired.
To solve the problem, authorities are adopting a comprehensive approach. Monitoring of the existing Wi-Fi network in public areas, parks, and "smart stops" is underway. Specialists are preparing proposals to expand coverage.
Additionally, discussions are ongoing about installing extra equipment in municipal buildings to extend the signal to adjacent areas.
The administration is also preparing proposals for businesses and government organizations to create access points in high-traffic locations, including hospitals, train stations, and shopping centers.
Klinkov promised to keep Dzerzhinsk residents informed and to soon publish a map of available Wi-Fi points in the city.
