In the city of Sergach in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a man is suspected of attempted murder of his father.

      The investigator of the Sergach Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region has initiated a criminal case against a man suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 30 and Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder). According to the investigation, in July 2025, the suspect, while in a house located on Sverdlova Street in Sergach, Nizhny Novgorod Region, during a quarrel with his father, inflicted a stab wound to his neck. The victim was taken to a medical facility, where he received necessary assistance. The suspect will soon be formally charged and a preventive measure will be chosen. Currently, the investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia is conducting a set of necessary investigative actions aimed at establishing all circumstances of the incident, as well as the causes and conditions that contributed to it.
