The FSB released a video of the detention of the police chief at the Nizhny Novgorod airport.

      A criminal case has been initiated regarding illegal migration. The FSB department for the Nizhny Novgorod region published operational footage of those involved in the illegal migration case. According to the report, the footage shows the detention of suspects in offices, residential premises, and at the Central Interregional Investigative Directorate on Transport. Court documents reveal that from June 2024 to April 2025, officials from the Nizhny Novgorod Transport Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs assisted foreigners in unlawfully remaining in Russia in exchange for money. They also facilitated the unhindered departure of migrants from the country, avoiding accountability. The key figure in the case is Namiq Musayev, the deputy police chief of Nizhny Novgorod Airport, suspected of organizing an illegal migration channel involving 12 staff members, with roles strictly divided from collecting money to executing orders. On July 11, Musayev was brought to court, where he was remanded in custody for two months. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that if his guilt is confirmed, he will be dismissed for cause.
