Several dozen families of military personnel participating in the Special Military Operation (SMO) in Nizhny Novgorod took part in a river cruise along the Volga, organized for them by the "Voluntary Center of Nizhny Novgorod Region" and the regional headquarters #WeAreTogether.
"Decided to take a walk with the whole family on a sunny summer day, to see the sights of Nizhny Novgorod. The event was wonderful," said participant Artyom. Around 200 people — spouses, children, and parents of servicemen, participants of the regional program "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" — traveled on the wheel steamship "KolesovЪ." Guests enjoyed a bright creative program with performances by young artists.
"The cruise was very pleasant. Children were happy; they sang songs together. We are very grateful to the volunteers who help us in many ways while our husbands are on the special operation," said Irina, wife of an active military officer.
"We strive to create a special atmosphere of care for the families of servicemen. It is important for us that each family of the participants in the special military operation feels supported. Today's boat trip is not just an excursion but an opportunity to give people joyful moments, unite them, and remind that the heroism of our modern heroes will not go unnoticed. We thank everyone who helps create such warm and sincere events — this is our shared gratitude to the defenders of the Fatherland and their loved ones," said Maria Samodelkina, General Director of the Non-Profit Organization "Voluntary Center of Nizhny Novgorod Region."
