      Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region congratulated the city of Lyskovo on its 615th anniversary

      On July 12, the city of Lyskovo in the Nizhny Novgorod Region celebrated its 615th founding anniversary. Regional Parliament Speaker Evgeny Lyulin congratulated all residents of the district on this solemn date. Representatives of various professions who contributed significantly to the development of the area were awarded regional honors.

      Currently, the Lyskovo municipal district ranks 7th in the socio-economic development rating among other districts of the region based on the first quarter of 2025. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly noted that since the end of last year, Lyskovo district has moved up 18 places in this rating, indicating a dynamic improvement in infrastructure and economic indicators.

      "I am confident that Lyskovo has strong potential for developing its industrial cluster, agriculture, tourism, and other areas. Through joint efforts, we can realize this potential even more brightly, because behind every success are people—true workers and patriots. There are many worthy names in Lyskovo that deserve recognition and deep respect," said Evgeny Lyulin, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly.

      As part of the celebrations, specialists who made significant contributions to the development of the district were recognized with a Letter of Appreciation from the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly and honorary certificates from the regional parliament. Among them were medical professionals, volunteers, agricultural workers, and municipal employees.

      A cultural program was organized specifically for city residents in honor of the holiday: excursions, master classes, and sports competitions took place at various city locations. For the first time, the healthy lifestyle festival "We Are For a Healthy Lifestyle" was held. Guests of the celebration could participate in family competitions, undergo medical examinations, and conduct health diagnostics. The evening program featured performances by the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Orchestra, and local creative collectives showcased their talents.

      "For me, as for many of my fellow residents, Lyskovo is not just a hometown. It’s a place of strength where one wants to return. It is here, in our hinterland, that you truly feel connected to the origins and traditions of real Russia. And at the same time, while preserving its centuries-old history, the city does not stand still: it lives, breathes, and develops. New public spaces are emerging, courtyards and streets are being improved, and modern educational and cultural centers are opening. I wish our city continued positive development," emphasized Evgeny Lyulin, Speaker of the regional parliament.
