      Culture and Leisure The high-speed passenger ship "Meteor" will embark on a new route connecting Nizhny Novgorod and Perm for the first time on July 16. This was announced by Evgeny Lyulin, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in his Telegram channel. The journey spans 1200 kilometers and is scheduled for three days. Stops with overnight stays are planned in Kazan and Chaykovsky. According to Lyulin, passengers will be able to enjoy scenic views of the Volga and Kama rivers, see the operation of the Нижнекамский and Chaykovsky locks up close, and explore the attractions of Perm Krai — all without traffic jams and tiring drives. The return trip from Perm is planned for July 19, and the vessel will return to Nizhny Novgorod on July 21. Evgeny Lyulin emphasized that this new route has become the 42nd destination developed in the region. He noted that the Nizhny Novgorod region continues to strengthen its position as a leader in river passenger transportation in Russia. According to him, since the start of the navigation season, high-speed vessels "Valday" and "Meteor" have already carried over 47,000 passengers. The new route will operate as a combined itinerary, meaning passengers can both travel to Perm and disembark at any port along the route. Tickets for the trip are already available for purchase.
