The Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources identified violations in the operation of the Arzamas Water Utility.

      On September 2, 2026, at 15:08, the Society reported that Rosprirodnadzor recorded a number of violations of environmental protection requirements during an unscheduled on-site inspection of the LLC "Arzamas Water Canal." This was reported by the regional office of the agency.

      In particular, specialists identified exceedances of the permissible discharge standards of wastewater into the Tesh River. Violations were also found in the area of air protection and waste management from production and consumption.

      The enterprise exceeded the norm for sludge formation from treatment facilities and disposed of this waste without the mandatory license for sludge disposal sites, which are also not included in the State Register of Waste Disposal Facilities.

      As a result of the inspection, the water utility and responsible officials will be held administratively liable. The enterprise was also issued a directive to eliminate all identified violations by November of this year.

      The agency is currently working on assessing the extent of the damage caused to the water body.
