Almost 600 "freeloaders" were caught in Nizhny Novgorod's public transport during the summer.

      On August 31, 2026, at 16:18 Society During the summer months, 639 fare evaders were identified in public transport in Nizhny Novgorod. In total, in July and August 2026, inspectors drew up 716 protocols for administrative offenses. Most of them were related to fare evasion. Another 77 cases concerned the use of someone else's discounted transport cards. According to the CRTS, as of now, passengers have paid 329 fines. The total amount of payments received was 373 thousand rubles. At the same time, some offenders did not pay their fines on time. As a result, materials on 211 individuals were sent to the Federal Bailiff Service for compulsory collection. The total amount of debt was 243 thousand rubles.
