The manufacturers of the highest quality and most competitive products will be determined in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On August 27, 2026, at 17:21, the economy of the most high-quality and competitive products will be determined during a competition organized by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The winning companies will be awarded the honorary badge "For Quality and Competitiveness."

      Support for entrepreneurs is provided in the region in accordance with the goals and objectives of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."

      "High-quality work is one of the foundations of a company's competitiveness. Participation in the competition allows companies to objectively assess the results of their work, compare them with the achievements of other enterprises, and identify directions for further development. Among the key criteria of the competition are an effective quality management system, clear strategic planning, customer orientation, development of human resources, implementation of modern technological solutions, social responsibility, and continuous modernization of production processes," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      All organizations registered and engaged in production activities in the Nizhny Novgorod Region are invited to participate. The competition is held in three nominations depending on the number of employees: up to 100 people; from 101 to 500 people; over 500 people.

      In each nomination, two winners are determined: the organization that scores the highest points across all criteria and the organization that shows the best dynamics of indicators compared to the previous period.

      In 2025, 37 applications were submitted for the competition. The honorary badge was awarded to LLC "TPK Foliplast" (production of plastic products), LLC "Roshibus" (production of plastics and synthetic resins in primary forms), JSC "Promis" (production of packaging), LLC "Korona" (manufacturer of gasoline and diesel equipment), State Scientific Research Institute "Kristall" (scientific research and development in the field of natural and technical sciences), and JSC "Zavod Korpusov."

      The competition has been held since 2013. During this time, more than 500 applications have been received from enterprises, 61 of which became prize winners.

One of the main points of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" was to create conditions for easy startup and comfortable business operations. Work to support entrepreneurs in this direction will continue this year within the framework of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."
