Evgeny Lyulin: "The Nizhny Novgorod approach: preserving one's own while using the advanced - today the whole country is studying this."

      On August 29, 2026, at 09:19, Politics Forum "Strong Ideas for a New Time" was held in Nizhny Novgorod for the first time in six years. The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, personally welcomed the participants of the plenary session at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair, calling the choice of the city not a coincidence, but a sign of respect for the labor and military feats of ancestors. This was reported by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lyulin, on his Max channel.

      "Five times the forum was held in Moscow, but in 2026 it gathered its participants at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. And, as the head of state emphasized, this is not a coincidence, but a sign of respect. Vladimir Putin reminded of the feat of the militia of Minin and Pozharsky, of the All-Russian Exhibition of 1896, where the first radio, the first car, and unique creations of Shukhov were presented. He quoted Mendeleev, who wrote that everything 'native and advanced' is gathered in Nizhny. Today this tradition is alive," wrote Evgeny Lyulin.

      The speaker of the regional parliament emphasized that the forum is unique in its scale: it covers industry, healthcare, education, social support for participants of the Special Military Operation, housing and communal services, and space. Thousands of the best ideas, selected in sections and tested in practice, have already been implemented in national projects and federal programs.

      "As a legislator, relying on many years of experience of the Legislative Assembly and the Council of Legislators of the Volga Federal District, I can say directly: our ideas, born 'on the ground', form the basis of federal laws, giving impetus to the development of the country. And this is true in all areas - the initiatives of managers, engineers, workers, and entrepreneurs today become a response to the challenges of the time. Thanks to them, Russia withstands the pressure of sanctions and develops successfully," noted the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The speaker particularly highlighted the international aspect of the forum: in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, Nizhny Novgorod became a place of unification not only for compatriots but also for representatives from 30 foreign countries - Europe, America, and the Middle East.

      "All healthy forces of the world want to build a new fair world order together with us, guaranteeing sovereignty and development for all. There can be no exceptions here - only equal dialogue and respect for traditions," the parliamentarian is confident.
