The pipeline repair will leave Zavolzhye without hot water and electric trains for three days.

      On August 21, 2026, at 08:00, Society In Zavolzhye, from August 22 to 24, emergency repairs will be conducted on the main pipeline that supplies hot water to almost the entire city and is used for heat transfer during the heating season. This was reported by the head of the Gorodetsky district, Alexander Mudrov.

      The need for the work arose due to a detected leak. It is planned to eliminate it before the start of the heating season, as further damage to the pipeline could create problems with its operation.

      Hot water supply in Zavolzhye will be turned off until the repair work is completed. According to the preliminary plan, it will last for three days.

      The repair is complicated by the location of the pipeline—it runs above the railway tracks near the "Rozhdestvenskaya" station. Therefore, during the work, not only will hot water be turned off, but train traffic will also be restricted.

      In particular, the supply of electricity will be limited, which means that electric trains will not be able to operate to the Zavolzhye station. The nearest station that electric trains will be able to reach will be Pravdinsk.

      To compensate for the absence of regular services, the regional transport ministry and RZD will adjust the schedules of electric trains and buses.

      Residents and guests of Zavolzhye are asked to plan their routes in advance, taking into account the upcoming restrictions.

      "I apologize for the inconvenience caused, but these are necessary measures to eliminate the emergency that could jeopardize the heating season," Alexander Mudrov reported.
