The Investigative Committee is examining the death of a man due to a landslide in the Bogorodsky district.

      August 22, 2026 17:00 Incidents Investigators from the Investigative Committee are determining the circumstances of a man's death during earthworks in the Bogorodsky district. This was reported by the press service of the agency.

      Recall that on August 22, on Razdolnaya Street in the village of Burtsovo, there was a collapse of soil during the construction of a cesspool. A 45-year-old man was buried under the earth and died.

      A detective from the Bogorodsky interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region has arrived at the scene. An investigative check has been organized regarding the incident.

      Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of what happened, interviewing witnesses, and appointing expert examinations. Based on the results of the check, a procedural decision will be made.

      The State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod region is also conducting its own investigation.
