The sale of alcohol will be restricted on City Day in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On August 13, 2026, at 10:06 AM, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, on August 15, City Day, restrictions on the retail sale of alcohol will be introduced. This was reported by the NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" from the department of entrepreneurship development of the city administration. The ban will be in effect in places where mass events are held throughout their duration. The department clarified that the restriction is being introduced in accordance with the law of the Nizhny Novgorod region dated June 29, 2012, No. 74-Z. It was previously reported that on City Day in Nizhny Novgorod, Oleg Gazmanov and Sergey Galanin with the group "SeryGa" will perform (6+).
