Earlier, local residents complained about loud noises late in the evening on August 8 and also on August 11. According to eyewitnesses, unknown individuals were launching fireworks in the children's playground and then set off a firecracker there. The bangs frightened the residents, and they contacted law enforcement. Officers quickly established the identity of the offender. He turned out to be a 33-year-old unemployed man with no prior convictions, living in the same residential complex. The "nighttime pyrotechnician" was taken to the station. He admitted his guilt and explained that due to a series of unpleasant events, he was in a depressed state, and the fireworks, according to him, helped lift his spirits. An administrative report was filed against the Nizhny Novgorod resident under Article 2.1 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Nizhny Novgorod Region for violating the peace and quiet of citizens.
