The decrease in gasoline prices has slowed down in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
August 13, 2026 15:11 Economy The prices of almost all major types of automotive fuel decreased in the Nizhny Novgorod region during the period from August 4 to August 10, 2026, however, the pace of decline noticeably slowed down. This is evidenced by the data from Rosstat's weekly monitoring. Over the week, price changes for gasoline were recorded in 28 regions of Russia. At the same time, in 44 subjects, the cost of fuel decreased. The average price of automotive gasoline in the Nizhny Novgorod region was 72.10 rubles per liter. Compared to the previous week, it decreased from 72.24 rubles by 14 kopecks, or approximately 0.19%. Gasoline grade AI-92 fell in price from 67.51 to 67.31 rubles per liter. The decrease was 20 kopecks, or about 0.3%. The average cost of AI-95 also decreased—from 74.78 to 74.67 rubles per liter. The price dropped by 11 kopecks, or approximately 0.15%. The price of AI-98 gasoline and higher did not change over the week and remained at 96.46 rubles per liter. The cost of diesel fuel also slightly decreased. It fell from 79.23 to 79.20 rubles per liter, that is, by 3 kopecks, or about 0.04%. For comparison, on average in the Volga Federal District, a liter of gasoline costs 73.45 rubles. The price of AI-92 is 70.10 rubles, AI-95—75.88 rubles, AI-98 and higher—100.72 rubles. The average price of diesel fuel in the district reached 82.42 rubles per liter. We remind you that earlier, residents of Nizhny Novgorod began to complain again about the shortage of gasoline and queues at gas stations. According to the regional Ministry of Energy, temporary disruptions are related to logistical difficulties and a shift in the supply schedule. In addition, cases of drivers not adhering to the "odd-even" system have been increasingly reported in the region.
