      On August 14, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lyulin, the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Council of Deputies of the Republic of Belarus, Elena Pasyuta, Russian Federation Senator Olga Shchetinina, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Alexey Antonov, and regional parliament deputy, head of the apparatus Maxim Rebrov visited a new modern poultry complex for table egg production in the village of Mikheevka, Ardatov municipal district.

      The project was implemented by the agroholding "Russian Field" in the format of a "green" investment site – infrastructure was created from scratch on an area of almost 50,000 square meters. Investments in the project amounted to 2.9 billion rubles. The enterprise houses five hen houses with 200,000 birds each and two houses for broilers with 100,000 birds each. The capacity of the complex is 1 million eggs per day; after reaching its design capacity, the Nizhny Novgorod Region will be able to additionally produce up to 295 million chicken eggs per year. The implementation of the project has created 150 new jobs.

      The enterprise was built with state support – part of the interest rate on loans was reimbursed from the regional budget. According to Anton Romanov, General Director of the agroholding "Russian Field," over five years of implementing the strategy for expanding table egg production, the group of companies has almost quadrupled its overall production indicators due to the capacities of three high-tech sites. The total investment in projects in this direction is about 4 billion rubles, and in all agricultural projects in the region – 15.8 billion rubles. By 2026, this figure will increase by another 6 billion rubles. "The development of egg production is one of the important areas for the growth of the agro-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The new complex in Mikheevka means jobs for the Ardatov district and a significant contribution to the food security of the region. It is gratifying that business sees real support from the regional authorities and is ready to invest in the modernization of production. I am confident that reaching the design capacity will set a high standard for the further development of the entire poultry sector," emphasized the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lyulin.

      "In the Grodno region, special attention is paid to food security and the development of the agro-industrial complex. The example of the Grodno poultry farm, where 98,000 hens produce 78,000 eggs daily, shows us that sustainable development of rural areas is impossible without the implementation of modern technologies and systematic support for the industry. The experience of our Nizhny Novgorod colleagues in creating high-tech productions that simultaneously address both economic and social issues – creating new jobs and developing the infrastructure of rural areas – undoubtedly deserves attention and study," noted the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Council of Deputies of the Republic of Belarus, Elena Pasyuta.
