According to him, since 2020, the total number of employed in the region has increased by 20% - to 2.04 million people. The number of self-employed has increased tenfold - their number has exceeded 293 thousand people. There are more workers for whom employers withhold personal income tax. The growth was 3%. Yegor Polyakov added that in absolute terms, over six years, the number of working citizens has increased by 300 thousand people. Of these, 100 thousand were added just in the past year. "This is every tenth Nizhny Novgorod resident who found their calling or was able to legalize their work: they started receiving a 'white' salary and social guarantees," noted the deputy governor. At the same time, according to Polyakov, the labor market still needs "whitening," and enterprises need personnel. He added that statistics show positive results, and now it is important to maintain them.
