      August 11, 2026 18:35 Incidents The court awarded compensation to the relatives of a man who died near the Zholnino station. This was reported by the press service of the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office. The tragedy occurred in September 2025. A high-speed electric train struck a 33-year-old resident of Nizhny Novgorod. JSC "Russian Railways" did not compensate the family for the damages incurred, the prosecutor's office established. Since the relatives of the deceased could not defend their rights themselves, the transport prosecutor filed a lawsuit. The Avtozavodsky District Court granted it and ordered JSC "Russian Railways" to pay the father of the deceased compensation for moral damages and funeral expenses amounting to over 210,000 rubles.
