The leadership of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia met with the family of the deceased colleague.

      The head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region, Police Lieutenant General Yuri Arsentyev, and his deputy, Police Major General Viktor Bortozhinov, visited the relatives of Police Captain Sergey Murygin, the district police officer of the Department of Internal Affairs and Juvenile Affairs of Police Department No. 1 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod, who died in July of this year from a stab wound received while on duty. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Police Colonel Vladimir Lokhin, and colleagues of the deceased. The leaders of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia expressed their condolences to the family of their colleague and informed them about the support measures that the regional police department is ready to provide. In particular, they discussed payments and benefits provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation and by the veterans' organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The relatives of the police officer thanked the leadership of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their support and discussed other concerns. The head of the department spoke about social guarantees for the families of deceased colleagues, informed them about the possibility of employment in the internal affairs agencies, and the preferential admission process to departmental universities for the daughter of the district police officer. Police Lieutenant General Yuri Arsentyev assured the relatives of the deceased colleague that the memory of Sergey Murygin would be preserved in the hearts of Nizhny Novgorod police officers and passed on to future generations. His name will be mentioned in lessons on patriotic education for youth, inscribed in the history books of the department, and immortalized in other forms. During the visit, Yuri Arsentyev emphasized: "Such a tragedy as the loss of a loved one cannot be endured without support. You have lost a beloved husband, son, brother, father, and we have lost our colleague, with whom we worked shoulder to shoulder every day. Now you are our family, and we are always ready to help you with any issues. I sincerely ask you not to silence your problems, not to hesitate to report them.
