      An updated list of Nizhny Novgorod water bodies suitable for swimming has been published. The relevant information was provided by the press service of the Rospotrebnadzor Administration for the Nizhny Novgorod region on August 7, 2026. The water quality meets sanitary and hygienic requirements in the following water bodies:

      — first lake of Shchelokovsky farm (Prioksky district);

      — third lake of Shchelokovsky farm (Sovetsky district);

      — lake PKiO 2nd stage, pr. Molodezhny (Avtozavodsky district);

      — lake PKiO 1st stage, ul. Smirnova (Avtozavodsky district);

      — Silicate lake, both beaches (Leninsky district);

      — Sorting lake, both beaches (Kanavinsky district);

      — Hospital lake (Kanavinsky district);

      — Lunar lake (Sormovsky district);

      — Pestichnoye lake (Sormovsky district);

      — pond "408 km" (city of Arzamas);

      — river Tesh (city of Arzamas);

      — lake "by the Steep Mountain" (city of Bogorodsk);

      — river Volga, city beach of Lyskov;

      — upper pond, all three beaches (city of Vyksa).
