On August 6, 2026, at 14:31, Incidents: A farewell ceremony was held in Belgrade for Lyudmila Turkova, a model from St. Petersburg, who was killed by a Turkish citizen. The mourning event took place at the cemetery in the Leshche district, where an Orthodox priest arrived and conducted the funeral service. This was reported by "KP-Petersburg."
The coffin with Lyudmila's body was placed in a recess of marble slabs, next to it was a photograph of the 27-year-old girl. Several of the girl's friends attended the ceremony, expressing their support for her mother, who came from Russia. The friends organized a live broadcast for those who could not attend in person and donated funds for the farewell organization and transportation of the body. During the broadcast, they only expressed their grief and hardly commented on what was happening. After the funeral service, the broadcast was interrupted.
Lyudmila's friends previously reported that her body would be cremated. A memorial service is planned to be held in Russia, to which only the close ones of the deceased girl will be invited.
Lyudmila Turkova went to Serbia for a vacation. According to her friends, she went missing on July 25, having previously informed them that she intended to visit a club. At the club, she met a 25-year-old Turk who invited her to his rented apartment in the Borča area. In the morning, surveillance cameras recorded the man carrying Lyudmila's body, packed in a suitcase, and throwing it into the Vezel canal, surrounded by dense vegetation. A few days later, the corpse was discovered by a search police dog.
The suspect was detained at the airport and placed in a detention center.
