On August 4, 2026, 15:31 Economy In Russia, monitoring of prices on products from the manufacturer to the store is being introduced. The law with such provisions was signed by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. The government will have the right to approve a list of federal executive authorities that will be able to request information from tax authorities about companies and entrepreneurs operating in the food trade sector. This concerns both sellers and suppliers, as well as transactions between them. The government will also determine a list of food products for which federal authorities will be able to obtain such data. The information obtained will be used for monitoring, assessing, and comprehensive analysis of the dynamics and factors influencing the formation of prices on products. The transmission and composition of information, including in electronic form, will be determined by the federal authority authorized for control and supervision in the field of taxes and fees, in coordination with the relevant department. The law will come into force on January 1, 2027. It was previously reported that the annual inflation in the Nizhny Novgorod region rose to 5.5% as of the end of June.
