The project for the construction of a hotel on the embankment in Gorodets was presented to the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin. This project is being implemented with the involvement of preferential loans under the national project "Tourism and Hospitality." The presentation took place at the "Manzherok" resort in Altai before a meeting on the development of tourism and the hospitality industry. This was reported by the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation.

      According to Mikhail Ivanov, the general director of NNDK, the idea of building a hotel has been around for a long time, but due to the lack of suitable financing mechanisms, the project remained at the excavation stage for a long time.

      "The project has come to life thanks to the preferential lending program within the framework of the national project. I want to express my immense gratitude to you personally, Mikhail Vladimirovich, the Government of the Russian Federation, and the team of the Nizhny Novgorod region government for your active assistance and support," he noted.

      According to him, the hotel will be a building with variable floors ranging from two to four stories, with a total area of about 8,000 square meters. The complex is designed for 102 rooms and includes a restaurant with two halls, a spa area, and a conference hall.

      A feature of the project will be the ability to accommodate tourists not only by road but also by water. Nearby, there is a stop for hydrofoil vessels with regular flights. Currently, the water area is being arranged for the placement of a floating dock and a pier for small vessels.

      The volume of the preferential loan amounts to 1.149 billion rubles, which is about 11.265 million rubles per room. The loan term is 12 years. The company's investments in the project will exceed 450 million rubles.

      Mikhail Ivanov added that the construction of a retaining wall has already been completed on the site, and work is underway on the installation of the monolithic frame and masonry. It is planned to close the thermal contour of the building in the fall, and the grand opening is scheduled for the summer of next year. The hotel will be managed by the federal operator Cosmos Hotel Group.

      Let us remind you that the decision to allocate a land plot for the project was made in November 2024 at a meeting of the council on land and property relations. The developer is LLC "Volga Center for International Investments," which is part of the NNDK group of companies. Earlier, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, checked the progress of the hotel construction.
