More than 1,700 meters of outdoor lighting line have been built in the settlement on Bor as part of the national project.

The length of the section is over 1,700 meters, and the cost of the government contract is 4.48 million rubles. The project was implemented under the Road Safety Program of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." This was reported by the Main Department of Highways of the Nizhny Novgorod region. "The illuminated section runs through the entire village. To achieve the regulatory level of illumination of 10 lux, the contractor installed 55 seven-meter poles with 50 W lamps at a distance of 30-31 meters," said Kirill Shevyakov, head of the operational management of the State Budgetary Institution of Nizhny Novgorod "GUAD." For a village with a population of 4,000, which is the administrative center of the rural council and has significant transport importance, good lighting is a guarantee of road safety. At night, the light from the lamps significantly improves visibility for drivers and pedestrians, reducing the risk of accidents. The regional GUAD also reported that this year, a street lighting system will be installed in the Bor district at three sites - on the highway "Neklyudovo - Bor - Valki - Makaryevo" and "Access to the village of Sherstnevo from the highway Neklyudovo - Bor - Valki - Makaryevo." As a result, the total length of the new lighting lines will exceed 10 km. In total, contracts have already been signed in the Nizhny Novgorod region for the construction of outdoor lighting lines at 36 sites with a total length of almost 60 km. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, with the aim of providing citizens with modern infrastructure. The national project consists of 12 federal projects, which are partly a continuation of previously existing national projects "Safe Quality Roads," "Housing and Urban Environment," and state programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed, among other things, at the development of road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road safety, and developing public passenger transport. Since 2019, thanks to the national project "Infrastructure for Life" (until 2025 - "Safe and Quality Roads"), more than 6,600 km of roads have been repaired in the Nizhny Novgorod region, and about 140 km of regional highways have been built and reconstructed.
