A train dedicated to the 2026 elections will be launched in the Nizhny Novgorod metro.

      On August 1, 2026, at 17:37, Politics. Thematic trains will be launched in Russian subways to inform passengers about the elections that will take place in September 2026. The nationwide educational campaign (0+) will start in Moscow on August 3. On August 5, Nizhny Novgorod will join the campaign. Metro passengers will be able not only to reach their destination but also to learn more about the Russian electoral system, its development stages, and modern technologies in the field of elections. Following that, a similar train will go into service in the Novosibirsk metro. The project aims to inform citizens about the upcoming voting and is intended to remind them that in less than two months, Russians will have to make a choice that will determine the main directions of the country's development for the next five years. The Nizhny Novgorod election commission emphasized that the launch of branded trains in 2026 is timed not only to the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the IX convocation but also to the 120th anniversary of the first elections to the State Duma in the history of Russia.
